Starve Poverty helps with urgent home repairs. Our goal is to alleviate situations that seem hopeless and stressful to people of great need. Often those we help have been dealing with difficult situations for an extended period of time and have nowhere else to turn. It is SPI’s privilege and honor to be able to help in such circumstances. To qualify for SPI’s assistance, the problem must be:
1. Dangerous or unhealthy to the homeowner.
2. Time sensitive.
3. Beyond the homeowner’s skills and resources.
We ask all clients to pay for the project materials. SPI provides the skilled labor at no charge. We handle many routine repairs ourselves, and work with skilled, licensed, insured contractors to handle larger projects such as roofs and wheelchair ramps.
